Tarkir: Dragonstorm is the latest Magic: The Gathering set, bringing players back to the legendary plane of Tarkir, where dragons reign supreme, and the five clans rise once again to face the chaos. This Standard-legal set releases worldwide on April 11, 2025, and promises an electrifying mix of dragon tribal support, powerful legendary creatures, and stunning alternate treatments.

What’s New in Tarkir: Dragonstorm?

Tarkir: Dragonstorm revisits the war-torn landscape of previous Tarkir sets, Khans of Tarkir and Dragons of Tarkir, which featured some of Magic’s most iconic cards, including fetch lands, Dragonlord cycles, and tribal dragon synergies. This new set continues the legacy with fresh mechanics, legendary creatures, and jaw-dropping new art.

Sarkhan and Narset Return!

Fan-favorite characters are making a powerful return:

• Sarkhan, Dragon Ascendant – A planeswalker whose destiny is forever tied to Tarkir’s dragons.
• Narset, Jeskai Waymaster – A master strategist guiding the clans in their struggle against the draconic tempest.

Both of these legendary figures will be available in Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, Bundles, and even MTG Arena packs.

Like recent sets, Tarkir: Dragonstorm features multiple card treatments, including:

• Serialized Mox Jasper – A special throwback to the original Moxen, available exclusively in Collector Boosters.

Tarkir: Dragonstorm (set code: TDM) is a Standard-legal set, meaning these powerful dragons and spells will be part of the format’s competitive scene.

Additionally, the Tarkir: Dragonstorm Commander decks (TDC) and Special Guests (SPG) subsets will be legal in Commander, Legacy, and Vintage.
